RELEASE: Great Outdoors Foundation Hires Binns as Development Specialist

DES MOINES, IA (March 21, 2023) – The Great Outdoors Foundation is pleased to announce that it has hired Rhiley Binns to serve as the organization’s Development Specialist. In the role, Binns will oversee donor development and stewardship, contributing to the Great Outdoors Foundation’s robust fundraising strategy.

Binns most recently served as a birth doula, independently building and establishing a client base that she served for nearly three years. Prior to her entrepreneurial endeavor, she held several roles at the Science Center of Iowa. Binns’ skillset has been honed in a variety of environments, making her an ideal candidate for the fast-paced, dynamic nonprofit sector.

“Rhiley is an engaging professional who will be an excellent fit to our small, but impactful, team,” Hannah Inman, CEO of the Great Outdoors Foundation, said. “Her experience in the nonprofit sector has equipped her to play a pivotal role within our organization and community.”

Binns is an Iowa native and graduated from Central College in 2013. During her time in undergrad, she studied biology, art, chemistry and writing. She also spent time abroad in Wales, completing coursework in education, outdoor pursuits, and culture, while traveling throughout the United Kingdom.
