KTIV: Google Donates to Iowa Conservation Program

A tech giant is contributing more than a million dollars to help fund a program benefiting farmers in Western Iowa.
Google joining forces with non-profit the Great Outdoors Foundation on Wednesday to announce the donation of $1.7 million from its Conservation Acceleration Fund to the Iowa Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship.
That money will go towards the Conservation Working Lands Project.
That’s a five-year program helping farmers in western Iowa transform 5,000 acres of farmland into perennial hay and pasture systems.
