The Great Outdoors Foundation unveiled its Watershed26 Shared Action Plan at its inaugural Watershed26 event held at the end of June. The plan focuses on expanding conservation agriculture, improving watershed health, supporting rural economies and coordinating investments across the Upper Mississippi Watershed.

Watershed26 was a cross-sector summit addressing water quality at the convergence of agriculture and conservation. The sessions covered topics such as innovative water quality practices and technology, including drainage water recycling.

The shared action plan’s recommendations will serve as a road map for implementation leading up to the Watershed27 conference. The Great Outdoors Foundation and its partners are working on ways to implement the goals and action steps outlined in the plan.
